5 x denim on denim

Denim, it's one trend that never ever is going to be out of style. I like to combine several denim pieces in one look, but not just denim alone because it can easely look a bit too cowgirlish in my opinion. With the right textures, accesoires and coats you can prevent to be too Western-like :) Here's some inspiration, i hope you all have a superduper weekend! x Annelies

Trend: tropical print

Maybe it's because the weather is becoming more and more sunnier, but my eyes keep on rolling to the direction of tropical printed items in the online stores :) Dolce & Gabanna have the best print in my opinion and alot of other brands followed with some flower and leaf printed items. I think i spy a trend over here! What's your favourite item of the selection?

Sugar rush

I caaan't wait for spring! A clear sky, sunshine, a light brease... It's coming closer! :) Pastel is something that never goes off trend. Just like the blossoming flowers, it's something that keeps returning during spring-time. You can go all candylike and combine pastel with pastel or you can clash it with some rougher items like metallic and leather.

Fashion x Art

Céline SS14 advertorial

Chanel SS14 collection

Prada SS14 collection

Art has been a big source of inspiration for three big designers: Karl Lagerfeld, Phoebe Philo and Miuccia Prada. This inspiration translates itself into the most colorfull collections on the catwalks of Chanel, Céline and Prada. The models (who are walking pieces of art if you ask me) are wearing clothing that includes powerfull paint strokes, pop-art prints and bold colors. Definitely collections for people who aren't afraid to wear some color!

Dark plum lips

Dark burgundy or plum coloured lips are really on trend this season in beautyland. It's a great change if you like to wear red lipstick, plus i think it also looks as classy as the red variant but in a different way. Can't wait to try this look myself! I think i will wear this with light eye make-up for daytime and dark brown eyeshadow for nighttime.

Cotton candy and cupcakes

You cannot have missed it: pink isn't just for cupcakes anymore. The colour has found its way in the closet of many fashionista's and brings some fresh air into the classic palette of navy, black and grey. Pink can give a look a girly and glamorous feel, but it can also give it a darker edge when it's combined with black. The new way to wear pink comes in a whole other level then the simple sweetness of cotton candy and cupcakes. And above all: real woman wear pink, isn't it?
