Event: JuliaJune AW'14 collection preview

A couple of weeks ago i was invited to go and see a preview of a young Belgian brand: JuliaJune. We were there not only to look at the beautiful clothes, but also to see the new location of the brandnew store! The place was still a bakery (patisserie Fevery) a day before the event. I really liked how the place still had that bakery feel to it. There were bakery boxes everywhere and the beautiful DJ Amelie Lens had her spot at the cake display!

I think the new collection will speak to alot of women with different styles. There are beautiful basic pieces that can be mixed with more playful ones. The clothes had a luxurious feel to them and were finished with pretty details.

The young Belgian brand has alot of clothing that's right up my alley. Gorgeous fabrics, lovely colors and cool patterns. I've seen alot of pieces that my closet would love to give a home to :) Here are a few snaps from the evening:

My favourite: a fuzzy pink coat!

You can visit the store at Brabantdam 8, Ghent (Belgium) or at www.juliajune.be

Budget tip

I must say i'm getting a bit obsessed with the 'culottes'. It can be worn casual like in the picture with sneakers or with heels to make it more lady-like. I would style it the sporty way: with my Addidas Stan Smithies (yesyes they are everywhere, and soon also on my feet, but more about them later!), a white shirt and a cap on my head.

Mango has a great black version at the moment, find it here

5 x denim on denim

Denim, it's one trend that never ever is going to be out of style. I like to combine several denim pieces in one look, but not just denim alone because it can easely look a bit too cowgirlish in my opinion. With the right textures, accesoires and coats you can prevent to be too Western-like :) Here's some inspiration, i hope you all have a superduper weekend! x Annelies

Belted

I really love the belt-trend that's going on lately. It can give your outfit an instant nonchalant feel. That 'je ne sais quoi' is more difficult to create then it looks if you ask me! You can look like you woke up like this and quickly throwed some pieces on, when there's actually a whole fashion masterplan behind it! ...Or maybe it's just me :) Do you guys feel the same way?
